Indiatimes and Mobile 365 Join Hands to Connect & Reach Indian Communities via SMS

Singapore mobile subscribers can now stay up-to-date with news feeds from India’s premier media outlets—The Times of India and The Economic Times—catch the “Bollywood fever” and be exposed to a wide array of entertaining mobile content, all via SMS.

Indiatimes, the flagship brand of Times Internet Ltd, the digital venture of India’s largest media house – Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd, formed a strategic alliance with Mobile 365—the global leader of mobile messaging services—to offer premium short message services to mobile subscribers in Singapore, which was launched today.

By texting to ‘79888’, mobile subscribers in Singapore—regardless of their operator—will have access to premium SMS services such as downloads of Java or SMS games, ring tones, logos, wallpapers of favourite Bollywood and cricket stars, and picture messages. Subscribers can also receive breaking news, business, and sports updates; get the latest Bollywood movie reviews; go on an integrated web, mobile and voice dating service with Indiatimes Liv2Luv; and access language SMS, where users request and send picture messages in local language. Available languages include Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Assamese, Bangla/Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Punjabi, Telugu, Kannada, and Oriya.
